Gautam is an 8th-grade student, full of dreams and ambitions, but born into a reality where every day is a battle for survival. His father, Jitendra Bhai Dohre, works tirelessly as a laborer, earning just ₹12,000 a month. His mother, Pushpa Ben Dohre, contributes by selling vegetables, bringing in ₹9,000 more — just enough to cover rent, food, and basic needs.
Neither of his parents had the opportunity to go to school. They know the value of education, but their resources are limited, and their dreams for Gautam are simple:
"Bas humare Gautam padhe likhe aur accha insaan bane."
(We just want Gautam to study, become educated, and live a better life.)
Sadly, those dreams, like so many others, often fade without support. Gautam’s family cannot afford tuition classes, extra books, or career guidance. They can barely make ends meet. Yet, Gautam's hunger for knowledge and his determination to create a better future shine through despite these challenges.
Recognizing Gautam’s potential and the struggle his family faces, Rising Youth Foundation welcomed him into our free education center. Here, Gautam is not just learning from books; he is gaining confidence, discovering his strengths, and, most importantly, believing that a brighter future is within reach.
